Ocu-Pie Challenge: Round 1
Robert started off spectacularly, finishing the first couple of pies in short order. He definitely brought his A game, however, he was not following his strategy of eating the first 2 and then pacing himself for 4 minutes for each of the remaining pies.
Frank was surprised to see Robert going so well. This led to the first set of wacky antics to throw Robert off his game. However, as you can see from the pic, Robert was unaffected.
As Robert progressed, he started to show some signs of weariness. At the 8:48 mark, Robert had his first burp, and his first real sign of struggling.
A couple minutes later, Robert had progressed to around 8 pies and then decided to take a small break to "clear some space." It was at this time Robert had two more burps at 11:43 and 11:44 respectively.
Tracy then got real interested and played a small part in more wacky antics with Frank. Robert was distracted by these antics, a trend which would continue into the competition. He also burped for the 4th time at the 13:42 mark.
Having to put his two cents into the competition, Tracy sauntered in to check on the status. Robert was around 10 pies at this point.
After Tracy left, things started to go downhill for Robert. He got to 11 pies with around 41minutes left, however, the stomach was full. He decided it was break time and let out what would be his last two burps at 18:30 and 18:32
Warren proclaimed Round 1 complete with everyone impressed by Robert's showing.
